Out of Service
Enabling this feature
You can enable this feature by selecting
🖥️ Desktop
- From anywhere within the app, select
Account > Account Details > Features and toggle 'Out of service status' on
📱 Mobile
- Navigate to the Features tab by tapping the drop-down menu at the top right (three horizontal lines) and selecting
Account Details > Features then toggle 'Out of service status' on
Use Cases
Out of Service is frequently used to remove items from their 'Active' status when an organisation knows that the item will not be used, or not need to be checked for an extended period of time.
When an item is out of service it is not included in statistics displayed to users, such as our Insights, or the Doughnut charts, so they reflect the overall status of items in a way that is more meaningful to you
For example:
Jeff allocates 15 Scaffolds that he knows will need to be set up at 123 Example Street in two weeks time. As these Scaffolds do not currently exist there can be no checks run, so he sets them to out of service. This avoids these 15 Scaffolds as showing up as 'Needs Check' on the dashboard, and for any snapshots gathered by EZICHEQ during these two weeks
