Categories

Categories are tags you can apply in most areas of EZICHEQ, such as to items, item types, checklists, users etc...

Categories are used as an additional way to categorise areas of your ezicheq application, and are often found in the EZICHEQ Filters, which can help you quickly find what youre after

Use Case:

  • Your EZICHEQ application has 100 items across the North Island, New Zealand. You know that youll likely want to determine which items are in Hamilton, so you attach a category Hamilton, to these items. From now on, youll be able to quickly find these items on the Items Page using EZICHEQ Filters

Editing Categories

When editing an item, item type, or checklist, you will see a field marked Category.

  • Orange categories are attached directly to the record. Press the small x next to a category to remove it.
  • Grey categories are attached indirectly (through an item type or checklist) and can only be removed by editing the source record that added them.

To add an existing category, pull down the list and select it.

To create a new category, start typing in the field and press enter when done.
